SOPHOMORE AND JUNIOR GIRLS, there is a FREE, 7-week "Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program" offered at different sites in the U.S., including San Francisco, where you will learn about computer science, tech jobs, and become part of a community. Early application deadline is TODAY, February 15, and regular deadline is March 15. For more info, come to the CCC. 

ATTENTION JUNIORS: the deadline to apply for the 10,000 Degrees Institute program is TODAY, February 15th! The program includes a FREE overnight stay at St. Mary's College, FREE year-round college advising, and scholarship opportunities. You can apply online at 10000degrees.org/students/institute. Again the deadline is this Friday, don't miss out!

PROGRAMMING MAKE-UPS – Counselors will be calling students out of class on TODAY, 2/15, Thursday 2/28 and Monday, 3/1 for make-up programming.

LINK CREW applications are now open!  We are looking for current sophomores and juniors who are responsible, kind and positive to welcome next year's freshmen to SR. If this is you, pick up an application for Link Crew from Ms. Rodriguez in the principal's office. 

COLLEGE NIGHT FOR JUNIORS (and their parents) will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 6:00 in the Auditorium. The counseling and CCC staff will present an overview of college admissions, junior year priorities, ACT vs. SAT, resources and support, and they will answer all your questions. Spanish translation provided, and sophomores are welcome, too. Don't miss this important, informational event!

ATTENTION WORLD TRAVELERS:  Go Dawg Go will be traveling to Asia during February Break of 2020.  Explore Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam with your classmates and make memories to last a lifetime.  Want to learn more?  See Madame Truett for more details. 

Calling all Eco-Adventurers!  Come with us to Costa Rica next February. We will explore waterfalls, volcanoes, and the rainforest, see monkeys, sloths, and tropical fish in their natural habitat, while practicing your Spanish and learning about biodiversity and sustainability.  There will be a parent meeting on February 27th at 6pm.  See Mr. Morales or Ms. Pikk for more details.

PAL: The Spring Blood Drive is coming on March 14th.  PAL students will be coming to Advisories to hand out forms or they can be picked up in T 121. All permission forms must be turned in no later than lunch on March 13th to Ms. Gonzalez or any PAL student.  Save a life!!

THE WEIGHT ROOM will be open at 6 am each morning for students or staff who would like to get their workout in early.

STUDENT & FACULTY WRITERS of SRHS – please contribute to Off the Leash! We want community voices! We’re looking for personal essays, opinion pieces about issues facing the school community and thoughtful responses to articles we publish. Send Mr. Simmons an email with a brief description of what you would like to write. Any questions or submissions can be emailed to Mr. Simmons at asimmons@srcs.org .

The 28th Annual Rising Stars high school show is going on until the end of March at Youth in Arts. All high schools in Marin County showcase student work. Come support your fellow SRHS friends!

DATE CHANGE: Our Cavalcade talent show date has been changed to Thursday, April 4th. We are still accepting new acts. This is the week before spring break. See Castle or Deamer to audition.

REMINDER TO SENIORS:  If you have schools that require mid-year reports and transcripts you must come to the counseling office to complete the “Transcript Request” form.

TUTORING

NEED A QUIET PLACE to get your HW done or study for your upcoming test? The Library is now open until 5pm on every Monday thru Thursday! All students are welcome to stay and quietly work on their homework!

ONE-ON-ONE PEER Tutoring is available during advisory and your free periods.

MATH teachers available before school and after school, Monday through Thursday in the library.

ENGLISH TUTORING - Mr. Bond and Ms. Hager offer reading room and homework tutorial in LA303 and LA304 Monday through Thursday for one hour, immediately after the bell.

FRENCH and SPANISH tutoring is available daily from 7 – 7:45 am in AD 315.

SENIORS, now that most of college applications deadlines have passed, please make sure to stop by the CCC to learn more about scholarships or simply check out the scholarship bulletin outside the CCC. If you haven't already done so, activate your portals from the schools that you have applied to. If you have any questions, please stop by to see Ms. Mazariegos. 

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality classes are being held this semester in Novato for Free. Come into the CCC to get help with signing up for these classes. Be able to create virtual worlds, tours and so much more!
