GAMES OF THE WEEK

TREE LOT – Fresh Trees are being delivered today at the Tree Lot! If you signed up to help, please don't forget today is UNLOAD day and tomorrow is DRILLING AND STANDING TREES. If you didn't sign up, you're still welcome to show up. Don't forget to sign in on the volunteer sheets for your hours to count. 

FREE MOVIE NIGHT – this Friday, December 6th in the Hayes Theater from 6pm to 9pm. We will be showing Big Hero 6 and selling snacks and pizza.

Hey Dawgs! – It’s that time of year again and this year we are selling Holiday grams at brunch and lunch.  TODAY is the last day.  Buy a gram for a friend, loved one or even a teacher. Two dollars per gram. A sweet treat comes with each gram. They will be delivered on Friday in Advisory.

The US Air Force will be vising in the CCC on Thursday during lunch. Please sign up in the CCC.

HATS ON DAY is next Thursday December 12th. Donate a dollar to Hats On and on Wednesday you will receive a sticker which entitles you to wear your hat all day, anywhere! All the money goes to buying wigs for children who lose their hair during cancer treatment. Last day to bring a dollar to Advisory or to T121 (Ms. Gonzalez) is Wednesday December 11th.

SPRING MUSICAL - Information Meeting about the Spring Musical Little Shop of Horrors at Lunch Thursday in AR205. Come find out about the parts, size of cast (25) and details of auditions next week December 10th, 11th, and 12th after school for 2 hours.  Call backs are on the 12th.

HEY DAWGS! Join us for Cookies and Cram in the cafeteria on Tuesday, December 10th from 3:30 to 5:30 pm and Wednesday, December 11th from 2:55 to 4 pm. We will have tutors and teachers to answer all your questions and get ready for finals.

Juniors: 10,000 Degrees is now accepting applications for summer intensive: This is a FREE year-round support starting with workshops in spring of junior year and continuing through college, including help with the college application process, financial aid, and scholarships. Early decision Deadline is December 13th.  FINAL DEADLINE IS February 15th. Students can apply online. Contact Ms. Cifuentes in the CCC for more information.

PANCAKES!  Come have a delicious breakfast on Sunday, December 8th, 9 to 11 am. There will be Pancakes, Sausage, Fruit, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Juice.  Tickets $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 10. All proceeds from the breakfast benefit San Rafael High School Athletic Boosters and our Bulldogs Athletics Programs.  Please bring friends and family!

JUNIORS - Are you wondering whether to take the SAT or ACT? Come to “The World of College Admission Testing” presentation on Friday, December 13 during Advisory in the CCC to learn about college admissions testing, the differences between the SAT, ACT and Subject Tests, prep tips and more. Sign up in advance in the CCC.

YEARBOOK SUBMISSIONS NEEDED – Senior quotes and photos for the yearbook are being accepted in the main office.  We are collecting Dawgs with Dogs, siblings and baby photos.

PARKING – The Fencing for the Tree Lot around the Stadium Parking Lot will remain up until Dec 20th.  Because of the construction and limited parking, student parking will not be available on campus.  We will send out a communication if this changes but in the meanwhile, please advise your student to carpool or park off campus.

ECO ACTION CLUB – SR is taking part in a regional energy saving competition. We are trying to limit energy use throughout the month of November. Teachers, please turn off unnecessary lights and devices. The school that uses the least amount of energy will receive a $900 prize.

REMINDER: The SRHS weight room will be open for 1 hour for all students to use, every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 15 minutes after school. Mondays and Wednesdays will be from 3 - 4pm and Tuesdays will be from 3:45-4:45 pm. Space is limited to the first 45 students, so be there on time. You must be in correct workout clothes and have appropriate shoes to participate. If you have any questions please talk to Mr. Springhorn or Mr. Butler
TRANSIT STICKERS – are available in the main office during Brunch and Lunch only.

ALL STUDENTS must present their valid School ID when attending an SRHS Event.

LOST AND FOUND is in the main office.  Please come by and check for lost water bottles and other items.

TUTORING

MATH TUTORING and Homework Help, Monday and Thursday – before school in AD301, 7 to 7:45am and after school in LA101 for 1 hour.

SCIENCE TUTORING is available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school in Ms. Paiz's classroom, SC106!  Any and all science questions welcome!

ENGLISH TUTORING after school, Monday to Thursday. Come in for help on essays, grammar, and/or reading. Or just come in for a quiet place to do any of your homework. Rooms LA 303 and LA 304 with Mr. Bond and Ms. Hager.

FRENCH AND SPANISH TUTORING – all levels - Every B day Before school, 7:15-7:45am and After school for 30 mins, 2:45-3:15pm in AD 315 with Mme/Sra Likover.

SOCIAL STUDIES welcomes before and after school tutoring by appointment with teacher/s.

COLLEGE AND CAREER

SENIORS - The counseling department would like to remind you to please link your counselor as a recommender to either your Coalition or Common App as soon as possible. Linking your counselor will allow your counselor to view deadlines and submit forms. If you link your counselor last-minute, you run the risk of your counselor submitting forms past admission deadlines for some Universities. Thank you.

The 10,000 Degrees Summer Intensive is a *FREE* overnight stay at a Bay Area College Campus where students will attend fun and informative college knowledge workshops, learn about campus resources, and make new friends through interactive group actives. 

Early decision Deadline is December 13th.  Eligible students who apply by December 13th will receive priority enrollment, and will receive early notification of acceptance into the 10,000 Degrees Institute program.
