Important Parking Update!

Fencing for the Tree Lot will be put up around the Stadium Parking Lot on Wednesday after school and will remain up until Dec 20th.  Because of the construction and limited parking, student parking will not be available on campus.  We will send out a communication if this changes but in the meanwhile, please advise your student to carpool or park off campus.

ECO ACTION CLUB – SR is taking part in a regional energy saving competition. We are trying to limit energy use throughout the month of November. Teachers, please turn off unnecessary lights and devices. The school that uses the least amount of energy will receive a $900 prize.

HUCKLEBERRY applications now available in the CCC for sophomores.

The SRHS weight room will be open for 1 hour for all students to use, every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 15 minutes after school. Mondays and Wednesdays will be from 3 - 4pm and Tuesdays will be from 3:45-4:45 pm. Space is limited to the first 45 students, so be there on time. You must be in correct workout clothes and have appropriate shoes to participate. If you have any questions please talk to Mr. Springhorn or Mr. Butler.

ALL STUDENTS must present their valid School ID when attending an SRHS Event.

LOST AND FOUND is in the main office.  Please come by and check for lost water bottles and other items.

Calling all Eco-Adventurers!  Come with us to Costa Rica this February.  We will explore waterfalls, volcanoes, and the rainforest, seeing monkeys, sloths, and tropical fish in their natural habitat, while practicing your Spanish and learning about biodiversity and sustainability.  See Mr. Morales or Ms. Pikk for more details.

COLLEGE AND CAREER

SENIORS - Lauren Joyce - an independent college advisor and parent of SR alums - will be in the CCC during Advisory today and every Wednesday to help anyone on their college app essays. Drop on by!

SENIORS - The counseling department would like to remind you to please link your counselor as a recommender to either your Coalition or Common App as soon as possible. Linking your counselor will allow your counselor to view deadlines and submit forms. If you link your counselor last-minute, you run the risk of your counselor submitting forms past admission deadlines for some Universities. Thank you.

SENIORS - is a career in construction or construction management right for you?  Come to an info night on Wed. Nov. 20th at 7:00 pm at the Marin County Office of Education to learn about the FREE 6-week North Bay Construction Corp course. $750 scholarship given upon completion of the program.

Another great option is to take the 18-week ROP Construction course at Redwood High, available for all grades. Classes start on Wed. Jan. 8th. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, come to the CCC and talk to Mr. Diaz for more info.

Are you interested in a career in virtual reality? Global Virtual Reality Day hosted by XR Marin is on Sat. Nov. 23rd in Novato. Pick up a flyer in the CCC.
